So, went to get tattooed by my little sister's new hump buddy today. He is doing a fairy on her calf and I thought it looked pretty good so, I decided to have him do my behind the ear tattoos. At that time I was just going to get stars, but then I htought about it more and stars are cool but I want somehting more ME. So, Bruce had this really good idea to get a voodoo doll and then I came up with another idea for the other ear...a pin cushion heart. So anyway, I am sort of worried about his skills because this is a bit more invloved than just some small stars. So, I go down to the shop and he had not come in today but he was just going to show up for me and then be done. While I was waiting for them I looked at his book....IT SUUUCKED. There was not one thing I thought was good work. Needless to say I was glad they hadn't come yet beacause I called my sis right away and told her not to worry about coming in cause I can't make it. Then, I made an appt at Crawling Squid for tomorrow, because that is the only shop I really trust. I should have known better than to stray....
So, tomorrow it is voodoo dolls and hearts....let's just hope my head is big enough to fit them back there. Now, to save up for the big piece on my upper back. A stylized solar system with tiny negative space stars and colorful planets. I am not looking forward to all of the dark inking. It will probably take more than one session. I am going to have commets come over my shoulders onto my chest...sort of like SG Amelie...vibrant yellows and oranges. Then I plan on getting a lyric from a Placebo song on me somewhere but I am not too sure how I am gonna work that one yet.
