Today was a star-studded day for me in LA. I saw Jon Favreau at The Counter in El Segundo. I saw Bill Paxton outside the Cinerama Dome as he was going into the (season) premier for Big Love (link intentionally omitted). Then, I saw Ron Howard.
I'll go into a little more detail about the Ron Howard thing, because it's really the coolest one of the three.
I went to see an AFI screening of Frost/Nixon at the ArcLight tonight.
If you haven't seen the movie, you really should. I found it extremely fascinating and super intense. I really can't say enough good things. 5/5.
But, after the film, there was a Q&A session with Ron Howard, the director of the film. It was really cool to hear about Howard's process and how he worked with the writer and actors on the film. He had a lot of great stories.
I definitely need to do more of these AFI events. This is my second and I've enjoyed them very much.
