So, as some of you know, I'm a photo hobbyist. I am really enjoying taking pictures.
So, I came across this thing called the "Super-Secret Spy Lens." Basically it acts like a parascope and has a mirror and hole that allows you to shoot things 90-degrees from where you're pointing the camera. That way people don't realize you're taking a picture of them. (Unless, of course, they see the giant hole in the side of the lens, which seems very plausible.)
Of course, it seems to raise all kinds of ethics issues in me. It's kind of creepy to be taking pictures of people without them knowing. However, it's a great way to get candid shots because people are acting naturally rather than posing or shying away from the camera.
I'm trying to decide whether I should get it.
