I think I need more water and less coffee to get rid of recent light-headedness and dizzy spells. I'm going to go pour myself a glass of water now....

Water is good. Coffee is good. Modest Mouse is very, very good.

The way things are looking, you can't go wrong...
rickmcisaach:
i find myself with coffee & water hand in hand since most mornings i start with the water and work up.

you quote modest mouse a lot, and i sort of ignored most of their work up until recently, i rediscovered it and had an "oh shit!" moment. the music is solid and the writing is potent, and that equals a great mental blast, exactly what i look for. what is the best album in your opinion, and why? or what album is good for what?

There's one thing to know about this earth
We're put here just to make more dirt; and that's ok

Ohhhhh.... The man is a genius.

That is ok.

Once, when Chuang Tzu was fishing in the P'u river, the king of Ch'u sent two officials to go and announce to him: "I would like to trouble you with the administration of my realm."

Chuang Tzu held onto the fishing pole and, without turning his head, said, "I have heard that there is a sacred tortoise in Ch'u that has been dead for three...

Depends what you like, really. I've never lived in Vancouver, so I can't properly compare, but I've been there enough to know I like Victoria better. It's smaller, it's less crowded (except for a few months during tourist season*), it's easier to get around. It has the novelty of being on an island. The people are awesome. The weather is generally great (hope you like rain though!). The restaurants are great. The women are beautiful.

The bad? Sometimes it feels too small. It's difficult NOT to run into people, though it can be managed. Leaving the island costs money. The club scene is not on the same level as Vancouver, for sure, if you're into that.

* unlike "hunting season", tourist season doesn't mean you can shoot the tourists. unfortunately.

That one is my personal favorite as well. I am doing pretty good so far. Within the first hour and a half of NYD I'd broken the first three by downing a Rockstar in the 21 hour donut shop after consuming 2 donuts and half a dozen donut holes (I also ate 2 more donuts for breakfast) and following it all up with a couple of cancer sticks. I still haven't gained any weight, so 4 is eluding me.

I have to say though, if I break all my resolutions, then I am still keeping number 5, which means I didn't keep number 5, which means I did, which means I didn't. It hurts my brain to try and think about what a massive catch 22 it is.

i guess you're right...too bad you can't put the fear of god into them. not that that would make them go faster.

that sounds like a cool tattoo. i guess where you're working tattoos are okay or do you have to cover them up?

wow...contemplative. self discovery can be a long and rough road and it is very true that you will change just as you were getting things figured out.

i figured out who i am (at least for now i think) but sadly most of the time i'm not sure i like it...whatever blackeyed
