So, here it is at last, a new blog. :)
Sadly there's not much to report since the last blog, I've been waiting to have something to write about...
Not much difference healthwise, still waiting to hear about therapy and surgery. I've been prescribed another month's supply of Sertraline and am still on Tramadol for pain relief (though it does fuck all). I'm waiting to hear back from my GP about Lyrica patches, she's researching them as an alternative pain killer. Also, my legs have started shaking again, but that's because of the pain. I now have to use a walking stick to help me get around. I try and make light of it though, especially when people are waiting for me to catch up, I say "Here comes Tiny Tim!" :)
I also had a few moles removed last week (I have loads of the fuckers, all over my body), one on my torso, one on my shoulder and one on my nose. There are a couple more on my face that I'd like removed, but I'm waiting to see what the scar on my nose looks like before I commit myself. Nothing worse than having a scar that looks worse than a mole!
It was my wife's Birthday last weekend, so we went out for a family meal. I managed to cope better than I did at the Mother's Day meal the other month, which was nice, but then again it wasn't as noisy and crowded this time.
We had our 4th wedding anniversary this week, but we didn't end up celebrating in any way because I've been too sore lately and all I wanted was a quiet day at home. We can always make up for it by having a double celebration next year...
Went to see X Men: Days of Future Past, which was awesome, and I have to say, Hugh Jackman's bare arse was a nice surprise. :) Great SFX too, and lots of mutant action, plus it was nice to see Bishop make an appearance (even though he didn't do much at all).
Going to see Maleficent next week, and the week after that the new Seth MacFarlane film is showing here, so will probably go see that too. I'm hoping our cinema will show the Mrs Brown's Boys film next month, the showed the Harry Hill film earlier this year, so they might show thus film too...
Things have been a little bit slow on the knitting front lately, as I had started knitting a place cardigan for my wife, and things were going well until I had to shape the shoulders... You have to decrease, and keep the pattern correct throughout, which makes it more complex for a novice knitter like myself. Usually I turn to my wife for help with knitting, but she's never knitted lace before, so she's not much help this time. Anyway, I've put the cardigan on hold for now and have started knitting a lace shawl. I had a few false starts with that pattern too, because I didn't realise that the pattern forces you to use a stitch marker (something I'd never used, until yesterday), but things are back on track now...
Apart from that, there's not much left to tell for now. I've got loads of video games to catch up on, but rarely seem in the mood for video games. When the mood does strike, I'm working my way through Assassin's Creed IV and Pókemon X. There's not been much worth downloading on the PlayStation Plus (for PS3) lately, and the last games we downloaded were the latest Tomb Raider and Borderlands 2 a few months ago. Both haven't been played yet, due to focusing on Assassin's Creed - there's something rather satisfying about killing Templars... :)
That's it for this blog, hope you all have a great weekend! :)
