Hey SG brothers and sisters,
First of all a big thanks for those who left sweet comments on my last blog, you guys are the best friends a guy could wish for. You know who you are...
Not a lot of news since last time. Working my last 5 day week and I've decided to apply for the other job. Not told my boss yet, but I kinda need to, as she'd need to be one of my references. Application deadline's on 4th April, so I've still got time to get the application in and ask my boss if she'll provide a reference.
I kinda feel a bit bad applying, as it feels like I'm jumping in the first lifeboat. We can't survive on my wage from a 3 day week, so I'm sure she'll understand. There's no guarantee I'll even be granted an interview, but nothing ventured, nothing gained...
Got the bulk of the work done for my last assessment, as always I'm struggling with the programming question. Not looking forward to the end of year project/assessment due at the end of May, as there'll be a lot of programming in that...
Next module's a business module, so no programming required for that one and hopefully not as much maths involved either - unless there's an accounting element. Maths was never my strong point...
Had a pretty lazy weekend when I wasn't studying, chalked up quite a few hours on Assassin's Creed III. Was up to 40% completion when I started on Sunday, catching up with the Mrs: she's 67% completion and she's completed the main story. I've been focusing more on the side quests and spent most of my time this weekend finding feathers and claiming forts for the Americans.
Also re-watched J J Abrams Star Trek - in preparation for the sequel coming out soon.
I really hope they sort out the lighting on the bridge for the sequel. Did that bother anybody else or was it just me? There were too many lights on the bridge of the Enterprise and most of the time, the lights stretched and distorted in front of the cast. It's as if the camera was filming the bridge sequences through a window or something similar...
Had a bizarre dream early this morning. I was trying to save children from Pennywise the clown, whilst being scared shitless myself. At one point, Randall Flagg showed up and it kinda turned into a Stephen King version of Freddy vs Jason... Strangest thing is it's been over 10 years since I last watched "It" and I read "The Stand" a year ago, so go figure...
Music share now, this time it's a selection of songs from the Britpop era. Personally I think this was Britain's finest era for music, apart from the 80's of course!
