It has been a wile since I last posted... so I figure I might as well make this worth while. Over the past month or so I've:
Gone back home to California and realized you can't go home again. It felt wierd, I spent most of my time driving around to Santa Cruz, through the Bay Area or wherever I felt like driving.
I broke 145mph on the freeway in the 2002 Esprit, racing a newer Bently Continental driven by some old guy at night, quite fun and damn people got out of our way on the freeway fast... you cose quickly when the people ahead of you are doing 70 and you are doing over twice that.
I saw Roger Waters in concert in California. The show was amazing. I wish he'd played some more solo stuff but still hearing Dark Side in full was amazing. A VERY political show and after the floating pig lands, since it got loose, somebody somewhere is going to have a nice giant pig with "impeach bush" written on its ass!
I just got home from The Hold Steady/Sean Na Nas show last night and I can still bearly hear. Fun being up front so you can see, not so fun because some people are assholes. I got a foot in the eye from a groud surfer who also broke some dudes glasses and who clobbered the girl infront of me (enough so that the bass player of the Hold Steady stopped playing and gave her a drink that they had on stage... The Sean Na Na's put on the best show of the night though I think... fully of energy and DAMN funny. The best thing is I met a few cool people to chat with (even found the guys glasses, though they were smashed) and talked to a few members of the band. That is what makes it great... when you see a great show, and get to talk to the musicians for a few and they are cool people too.
I'm off to see Go Jimmy Go later in the week and I have an extra ticked it anybody from Seattle happens to read this and is interested (though the chances are slim I know).
