Well... I made arangement to have lunch with somebody later today... something tells me that I'm going to be stood up however.... *sigh* we'll see.
I heard back from corporate in Seattle... the position I origionally applied for has been filled... *double sigh*
One a semi-good note though I was encouraged to express interest in two other possible positions in the buyers/analysis side which could be interesting. I did respond saying I'd be interested in those positions.
I've been daydreaming alot lately... trying to occupy my mind... finding things to occupy me so I keep my mind of certain things/people... it is starting to work, those things/people are having less of an effect on me right now.
I guess what describes it best is a quote from one of my favorite bands, The The, from the opening track to the album Dusk. The song is called "True Happiness This Way Lies"
(spoken not sung)
And have you ever wanted something so badly
That it possessed your body and your soul
Through the night and through the day?
Until you finally get it
And then you realise
That it wasn't what you wanted after all
And then those self same sickly little thoughts
Now go and attach themselves to something ... or somebody, new!
And the whole Goddamn thing starts all over again
Anyways... I've the next 2 days off work, I'm not sure what I'll do. Friday's plans were to get my paycheck from work, do a bit of work on the Lotus, and have lunch (though again this is doubtful) so it may just turn into do nothing day... Not sure what I'm doing Saturday other than watching the F1 race.
Also of major note, I have not listened through every single song I own atleast once!! That is the following stats:
308 Artists
537 Albums
6726 Songs (only 5 downloaded, rest are on CD)
19 days of music (if played strait through)
25.16 GB of music
26 generes according to iTunes
34 the # of plays for my most played song, In A Box by Chris Clouse (a local musician who I actually did some video work for a while back).
The final song to play randomly was Una Notte A Napoli by the band Pink Martini, a really good jazz type band from Portland Oregon. I found out about them from a product rep for a high end speaker company I sell at work. The music is just so well done and recorded.
I really don't know what I'd do without my music...
Thats about it for now... ugh my life is boring... no pratties, no wild women, no wine or song either for that matter... hahaha... off to bed with me now... Yarr
