I hold them
those pieces
of dreams you let go of
I picked them up
until you are ready to reclaim
them.
they glow inside my hands
and I see when you were a child
and when you laughed
i see
that then you would have never let go
I place them inside a jar
marked fragile
and everyone can see
because they swirl around inside
and the light is so bright
I can not hide them
so I share them
yet
you still don't believe
you would rather have
a pocket full of doubt
live without
and play with shadows
shadows that don't care
for you,
they spiral down,
winding down forever
and ever into
a place I can not go
so I hold stead fast
to your dreams
till you return
those pieces
of dreams you let go of
I picked them up
until you are ready to reclaim
them.
they glow inside my hands
and I see when you were a child
and when you laughed
i see
that then you would have never let go
I place them inside a jar
marked fragile
and everyone can see
because they swirl around inside
and the light is so bright
I can not hide them
so I share them
yet
you still don't believe
you would rather have
a pocket full of doubt
live without
and play with shadows
shadows that don't care
for you,
they spiral down,
winding down forever
and ever into
a place I can not go
so I hold stead fast
to your dreams
till you return
Such amazing poetry
