staring at the robot today,i realized just how right asimov was.
the robot arm and rudimentary computer "brain" were merely lifting a computer off a conveyor and placing it in a large shipping box. but that happens to be the job that i did 5 years ago.
my job now is to monitor and trouble shoot the robot should the need arise. i can't help wonder: how many years until a robot takes over that job.
A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
