what a day.
breakfast at th awful house wit zel and neil-on our way to one of the coolest st patrick's day celebrations on the planet.
mustered for the st p day's parade in a little place called erin tn. the place is a little chuck o' scottland and the ENTIRE TOWN turns out for this event. caught up on band gossip on the trek in, and the fun commmenced once we arrived.
i haven't seen most of the guys since october,so i deserved all of the ribbing i got. and the parade itself came off without a hitch. poped a couple o' cherries today for some of our newest recruits too-some young rugrats that made it through 2.5 miles o' some very hilly terrain. and i swear someone was yelling my name in the crowd right near the end...
and the party afterward? they babrbecued every form of meat availavble in this hemisphere-venison,chicken,pork,swordfish,shrimp,'gator(no shit),sausage. half the town showed up for the shin dig, which we promptly entertained with an impromptu set. the rain held off till after most of us had eaten, then the bottom dropped out.
we were huddled under a fairly large tent that was ripped away with a large gust o' wind.which had us beating feet to our cars and the open road.
a few beers,a great conversation, and a timely pit stop later, i found myself in my humble abode-filled with the inspiration i desperately needed to face the corporation tomorrow.
