Haven't really been active on here lately; I've just been checking out my feed and a few sets here and there. But since I've seen quite a few Christmas blogs, I thought I'd write one too.
This is actually my first Christmas away from Australia. I'm currently staying in San Bernardino and I've been studying here since September. I've been in America since August. I spent Christmas Eve with my friend's family, which was a great experience for me. I went to their friends place and I was the only one there who didn't speak Spanish as a first language. I was out of the loop for a lot of the conversations they had, but I didn't feel excluded. I ate a lot of tamales... in fact, I've been eating tamales all day today and probably will be tomorrow as well.
I spent Christmas day at my dorm by myself. While it was a little bit lonely, I had NBA games to watch all day and I felt satisfied in knowing that I at least did something the day before. I also received a lot of love today, which is always nice.
I leave California on Friday to head to the East coast. I plan on doing a bit of traveling (although with very little money) before I have to leave America on the 29th of January. Hopefully I can see most of what I want to see on a fairly lean budget. If I can't, I guess there's always a great excuse to come back.
Anyway, if you read all of that, thank you.
