I was gonna edit my last blog with this little update, then remembered that it should just be it's own blog. Money.
So I asked my roomie to help me troubleshoot my bike. He's been riding and tinkering with bikes for most of his 51 years (old dood, yes, but good people). We started checking all the spark plugs, and found one that was bad. I decided to just get 4 new ones (at $3 a piece, why not?). We got them installed just fine but the bike still wouldn't start. It wanted to, though. After trying to start it we could smell the gas, which means it isn't the fuel. Also checked the air filter not too long ago. That leaves the spark. Checked the sparks on different plugs and narrowed it down to one of the Ignition Coils going bad (the coils distribute electricity down to the spark plugs, for those that don't know). That means that when I get my power drop, two of the 4 cylinders aren't firing and my 550cc becomes a really heavy 275cc, lol/cry. Could only order a new one from a dealership. It'll take 5-7 business days to get here and cost just over 2 hundo. Fucking ridonkulous. PERFECT riding weather for the next week, too.
