Crikey...what a 24 hours.

Rebekah, my youngest twin Daughter fell over the other day and bit through the corner of her mouth, it bled a lot, but it soon stopped and she said she was fine.....however, she was saying it really hurt last night at dinner time, and she finally opened her mouth wide enough for us to see, and she has a 1cm cut inside her mouth that really needs a stitch or two. so we took the to A+E (ER) to get it looked at, after 4.5 hours they told us to come back this morning when she would be seen by a consultant and have a general aneasthetic to receive stitches. a General Anaesthetic for a 4 year old is never great so we were pretty worried and Rebekah was really quiet with a raised temperature.
so...full of worry we took her in this morning, she saw the plastic surgery consultant who decided the best course of action was to just leave it and let it heal itself, as the wound was a couple of days old, it wouldn't stitch well.
so, thankfully there was no need for an operation.
and since i made my special little girl pancakes for breakfast she seems a lot brighter.

crisis over it would seem.
