So I got the new Stevie Wonder album for my birthday and I have to admit being nervous about this album because it seems so common for old school artists to succumb to all sorts of pop music shit and yet I was pleasantly surprised to hear that good ol' Stevie has not. In typical Stevie fashion, there are still several tracks that are too schmaltzy for me to really dig but then there are a few tracks that are killin' funky like 'Please Don't Hurt My Baby", to name one. Anyway, I'm a big Stevie Wonder fan and I'm very pleased with this newest album.
Anyway, I've been recording a LOT recently and am only very recently coming up with tracks that I'm happy with. So, hopefully that means I'm getting closer to the completion of an album and getting closer to the point where I can actually get some gigs and really get this thing going in Boston. It's funny that it seems so hard in Boston when it's been so easy in other cities. Anyway, that's what I've been working on.
