I finished the story for popthirteen about our two days in the city prepping for Matt and Toby's art show. I'm hoping that it hits the site soon. I know they have to run it by an editor and take care of all my grammar errors, and I'm sure there's plenty of them.
I'm listening to Akimbo's 'Forging Steel and Laying Stone' trying to put together a review for it. It's so fucking good, it's a mix of Botch, Sleep and His Hero Is Gone. I'm not sure how I'm going to put it together. There's nothing worse than reading a review of music when it's just the names of a bunch of other bands. I want to be able to capture the music with out just relying on name dropping other bands.
It looks like I'll be doing alot of work for Pop Thirteen. Moderating part of their forums, writing reviews, interviewing artists, etc. (hopefully if all goes well)
All of that on top of working a full time job (possibly being transfered to the Chicago Store instead of running the Aurora Outlet), managing Matt's full time art career, hanging out with my amazing dog and not neglecting my girlfriend at the same time. (not to mention, working out, as sitting on my ass recovering all I've been doing is eating...my mom is here feeding and feeding me)
I still want to start working on a Horror/Art/Music magazine. But I'm not really sure where the hell I can fit that in there as well. I'll be doing alot of the work on the train to and from work, thank god for the macbook.
