What in the hell makes someone think that this movie needs to be re-done? I was alright when Carpenter threw around the idea, and then even alright when the guy that did devils backbone/hell boy was going to do it...but I just can't take this...There is no reason at all for this...

Breck Eisner (right) will be directing the remake to Universals classic monster movie 'Creature from the Black Lagoon'. The original was about a scientific expedition searching for fossils along the Amazon River discover a prehistoric Gill-Man in the legendary Black Lagoon. The explorers capture the mysterious creature, but it breaks free. Eisner was the director who made his debut with the film Sahara.
