So, I filed my taxes today. It ended up costing me over $100 to get them prepared, but I couldn't risk screwing them up this year by myself. That's all due to the fact that I have W-2s from working in Michigan for the last month I was there, and I have no idea how to go about filing for two states.
Everything came out okay. I'm getting back a rather unimpressive $400+ from Uncle Sam, and a measly $20 from the great state of Massachusetts, but apparently I owe the state of Michigan for the 3 weeks I worked there. And the amount is rather ridiculous, as it will cost me almost the same amount to write and send out the check to them. That's right, I owe Michigan $1.00. I wonder if I had worked a few more days if that would have changed?

I stopped by my local Newbury Comics today, and picked up some new music:
Angelfish: Yes, I know that as a Garbage fan (And more specifically a Shirley Manson fan), I should have had this ages ago. But, for some reason, I've neglected picking it up until now. I only realized I needed it after I saw a copy sitting on a shelf in my girlfriend's bathroom. Why it was there, I'll never know, but I'm sure it belonged to one of her awesome roommates.
Massive Attack - Blue Lines: While on the topic of the girlfriend and her roommates, we were watching House (Great show, BTW) last night, and they realized that the theme was done by Massive Attack. They then shared thier collective enjoyment of said group, and I became intrigued. I only have had the opportunity to listen to a bit of the first track, but I'm pretty intrigued by what I've heard so far.
Pop Will Eat Itself - Cure For Sanity Sure, BuckyKatt666 burned me some of their stuff (Possibly the same album), but the disc had some fish-eye marks on it that made it skip, much to our dismay. He said he would make me another, but I keep forgetting to remind him whenever I see him. So now, we both can rest easy knowing that I have a fully functional copy.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had a co-worker burn me the four discs that make up the "No Thanks! 70's Punk Rebellion" box set. It is nothing short of amazing. I never would have thought I would enjoy this stuff as much as I do. Unfortunately, one of my other co-workers don't seem to share the same opinion, as he did nothing but complain when I put it on a few nights ago. I told him it was better than listening to the same rap/reggae/R&B shite we usually listen to every day, but he didn't agree, despite the fact that he has told me on many occasions that he hated the stuff we usually played. But, it seems that unless it's Metallica, Godsmack, Zakk Wylde, or something Ozzy related, he doesn't enjoy it. Oh well, he's still a great guy, even if his musical selections are somewhat limited.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I heard the new Garbage single "Why Do You Love Me" on the radio tonight. And despite the fact that I've heard it and have seen the video multiple times on my computer, I cranked that mother up and got home with quite a smile on my face. I hope this album ends up being as good as I'm being led to believe.

I noticed that the information about the SG East Coast Camping Trip has started to materialize. And I'm going to be sure that I will do everything in my power to be there. I missed last year's because I was relatively unknown at the time to my fellow SGBoston folk (And I still am to some), so I didn't bother asking for the time off, for fear of being the "creepy new" guy. Since this time I know at least a handful of people who are possibly going, and unless our new store decides to open that weekend, I have no reason to not be in attendance. So let's all hope my store's grand re-opening goes off some point before or after that weekend, m'kay?
