ROUND 4
Today, we went apple picking, and had a decent time climbing trees, tossing apples at eachother, trying not to injure the other with an apple to the noggin. It's the end of picking season , and quite a few of the types of apples were all gone, so our selection was rather limited. But, I think we got out of there with a decent haul, and there's rumor of me being invited over for her mother's apple pie at some point next week, if we got enough good ones.
Afterwards, we ventured over to her friend's house, and
ended up going out for pizza at some point, returned to her friend's house, watched a bit of TV, then we left. To tell you the truth, up to this point, I had been worried, as I noticed she seemed a bit distant, and I began to get worried that this thing between us was going to be over before it had a chance to really start. I always get these vibes when a relationship starts out, and they never amount to anything, but I can't help but worry.
But, soon enough, on the ride back to my car, we began to open up a bit more, and joke around. I love making her laugh. Plain and simple. I can tell things are okay if I can make her laugh or shoot that smile at me that I'm beginning to adore.
We ended the night with the usual good-night "snogs and kisses" (As Silvernut calls it) , and an attempt to make plans for next week...
So, as I'm typing this, I'm also making a CD of sorts for the her. I'm trying to give her an idea of certain songs that have shaped my taste(s) in music, are part of my current listening habits, or at least give her something interesting to listen to whenever she's bored. It's coming out pretty decently so far, at least in my opinion. I'll give up the track listing, but beware, these are MY choices. I know some people might not like them, due to them being "mainstream" or "utter, vile pieces of shit", but I dig this stuff. Screw off.
Garbage - Push It
Fuel - Shimmer
Oleander - Are You There?
Our Lady Peace - Clumsy
The Killers - Smile Like You Mean It
Pete Yorn - Burrito
Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out
Rooney - I'm Shakin'
The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony
Audioslave - Shadow on the Sun
U2 - Where the Streets Have No Name
Stone Temple Pilots - Interstate Love Song
Velvet Revolver - Fall to Pieces
Matchbox Twenty - Rest Stop
Longwave - Tidal Wave
Foo Fighters - Everlong
Garbage - You Look So Fine
So, yeah. If you noticed, there's a bit of a flow to it, kinda rockin' at the beginning, some fun stuff in the middle, then more rock, and finally some serious stuff towards the end, especially the last two. I'm really hoping she likes it. It's just a matter of seeing her again and giving it to her, so keep your fingers crossed and hope she doesn't give it the thumbs down, or even worse, not even listen to it at all. That would suck...

It's been two glorious years but I'm not done kicking ass yet.
