As mentioned by my friend FlipMuhPina, there's some new pictures in my "Phone Cam Pics" folder. I would have posted last night, but figured I would wait until tonight, so there would at least be something to talk about.
Capitol Records called me last week and informed me that they needed someone to cover a Von Bondies show, so I agreed to go. I asked for that day off from work (yesterday), and luckily, I got it. So a few days before the show, I get a call from Capitol saying that I'm not needed at that particular show, but at an in-store Supergrass performance instead ('Twas okay, met some other record industry people and chatted instead of watching the group.), and at the Von Bondies show the next day (today). It wasn't until then that they mentioned who I was there to promote. The beautiful, the talented...
Melissa Auf der Mer. Not only was she amazing live, but she was one of the nicest artists I've ever met. She talked to every person who waited in line to meet her, and is really appreciative of the work that Street Teamers like me do. I got her to sign a poster for me, and then talked for a brief moment. I would have liked to have talked more, but due to the volume of the Von Bondies, we had to cut it short.
Afterwards, I ventured outside, and ended up talking to some other concert-goers. We talked a bit and discovered we all worked in the same sub-section of retail (Entertainment). Eventually, we exchanged information, and we're supposed to party together some time soon. Hmm... Me, social-networking? Who'd a thunk it?
Well, I'm outta here. But here's something interesting I found. I got home after the concert tonight, and decided to eat, seeing as I haven't eaten anything in over twenty-four hours. So, I look through the freezer, and then the fridge. But, as I looked into the fridge, I caught something out of the corner of my eye. Something was tucked between the milk and OJ. What could it be?
What's that you say? Can't quite make it out? Well, you asked for it.
I don't know what to do. But, he seems happy, so I'm not going to bother him. I think I'm going to name him. Any suggestions?
