Fuck! I've been really sleeping on this whole updating thing. My bad. I'm sorry. I'm a terrible human being.
I don't know if any of you notice, but there this election thing going on and shit. And some black dude won again. That's a good thing, I guess.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he won over Romney, but you have to understand that this isn't the end all be all of the democratic process.
I'm sensing that I'm going to repeat myself, so I'll just repost something I wrote on Facebook on Election night:
While I got nothing against voting, don't let this be the end-all, be-all of the democratic process. Whoever wins, they don't run the country. WE DO!!!! The president is our bitch and we must makes them come through with the promises they spewed out during their campaigns. People in the country are so goddam lazy that they want a "leader" to swoop in a fix all their problems. Well, that's not how it works. It takes time and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, it takes more than one person. It takes all of us-you, me, your friend, your neighbor, etc.- to get things moving, from the country to our own communities. This is what democracy is to me. Call me crazy if you believe so.
I like Obama, but there are some folks who think he's like Jesus. I mean, aside from both being black, I can't see the similarities. But yeah dude can be president for four more years.
But let's get back to the important stuff: ME!!! j/k
The week before Halloween consisted of me and my friends party crashing. First I went to the art showing on the Southside by the cat Martin, from the band Los Crudos. He had a book of photos out and was showing off some of the prints.
I took a couple of photos, but it all turned out shitty:-(
After, my boy Rob showed off his new ride
HOWEVER, when we were back at my boy's condo, Rob decided to snort up some cyan pepper cuz fuck you, he can.
It was awesome.
He had to lighten the mood because earlier he got a call that his friend Reggie Destin died after being in a coma for a week. Rob was just broken up as all hell, and crying. I knew the boy for over ten years and I've seen him cry, which really unnerved me. I didn't know what to do, so I let him be. I talked to his friend a few days ago at the train and he said he was OK, so that's good.
I week to a punk/Oi show last week. As you would expect from an punk/Oi, there was a nice mix of skins and punks in the crowd A lot of good bands played, enough though it outdoors and it was around thirty degrees cuz that's how Chicagoans roll baby!!
And I totally did the whole in-shadow on purpose cuz I'm artsy as fuck.
Last night, the class took a trip to Symbol Training Institute to check some of the machines we'll be using for the advance. After an hour and observing, man!, I want to do this. Hopefully, I don't fuck up with math so I won't get a chance.
This is one of the student working the CNC machines
The advanced class also teaches CNC programming. Nothing in-depth (that would takes years) but just so you can correct a formula that was put in wrong. These are simulators that are on the machines.
And....
'Merica
And that's it. Hope ya had an awesome Halloween. And to the people in the States, go job on the voting booths. Colorado, I'll see you REAL soon *smoke*. And I'm out cuz I'm hungry and my stomach wants stomach and other things that are tasty but not healthy.
Take it EZ
And here's something awesome!
