What's up ya?
I'm writing this at a internet cafe. The internet at the crib is off. Long story, but I came up with $50 to pay off more than half the balance owed. My roommate would come up with $30 and he'll make the payment since the internet is under his name.
So I came up with the $50 and put it under his door. He padlocked the door so I knew he was gone. I didn't think much of it. Until a couple of days past sed and no sign of him.
I called his phone. Got voice mail. Texted him. Nothing. So I called our friend Lana to see if she heard from him. She didn't but she'll call up his girl to see what's up. After I got off the phone with her, she called right back. According to his girl, he checked himself to rehab and was in detox at the moment.
While I'm happy for him, I'm a lil satly--Ok a LOT salty--that he didn't let me know about this. He might be gone for a fucking month. All I wished is that he could've just let me know what was going on so we can make some arrangements. And I don't mean just the internet, fuck that. I'm talking rent, bills, etc.. He didn't even let everyone else know either, which is shitty as well.
That aside, I am glad he's getting some help, I really am. It's just I think he could've tied up some loose ends before he left is all.
I know I'm sounding like a whiny lil "woe is me" bitch, but I had to get it out of my system.
Anyway, still looking for work. Had an interview the past Saturday for Assistant Director at Grassroots Campaigns. Actually, it was two interviews with two assistant directors. I think I did good. They said they'll call sometime during the week. And if I get it, I might be going to Philly, which means I can get to hang out with @Meira. Yay!!. (And for the record, we've been talking. So it's totally not stalking).
Also, I got to hang out with my half-brother that day for his birthday. He turned 43 and he's living in a home for people with special needs. My folks bought him a couple of games for the Nintendo DS lite. A couple of them were Pac Man and Space Invaders. But it was one of those remakes that was EXXXXXXXXXXXXXTTTTTTTTTRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEE!!!! With lots of lights beams and words shooting at your face. Still it was pretty awesome.
What else what else?
Oh went to the Black and Brown Punk Show that night. It was a two event, but I was only able to the last two of the final night:-(. The location was a church on Bridgeport by Sox Park (I'm not calling it U.S. Cellular Field) and the room the bands were playing was hot and humid even with the industrial fan behind the bands.
Then I went to this tattoo parlor on the north side to see my boy DJ this art gallery. Then me, him and a couple of his friends went bar hopping til 4 in the morning. And somehow I survived to wake up in the next day.
In other news I've finished reading this:
I read his other How to Make Love to A Negro Without Getting Tired a while. He said his influence is
Bukowski which definitely shows. They both have this unfiltered style that's gonna piss people off. Still both books are a good read.
Anyway, that's it. Ya take it EZ
