Hey what's going on? I hope everyone's all right and out of sight
Y'know, a funny happen to me today. Remember in my last blog I got all emo about my job situation. WELL, today I called up this organization called Action Now! and guess what! They're gonna put me in their training program to become an organizer!
Truth is, I've been talking with these people off and on for over a year. At the time, they had some openings and I expressed interest, but it fell through in the end. I still kept in contact with them afterwards to point where they were getting sick of my ass(OK, they didn't say that, but I can sense it).
They were able to these current slots through the Put Illinois to Work program(PIW), which is a sorta state-funded initiative to getting people of low income working again. Ruth, the lady I was talking to this whole time, told me once they receive the funding from PIW, they will begin training.
So what's the lesson here, kids: By all means, persist and good things come to those who wait.
So these songs are dedicated to anybody who fucking hate their jobs. And those of you who don't have a job, like I was for a long-ass time, please, please, please make sure go for something that you'll enjoy. Slaving away at a gig that crushes your dignity and spirit is just as worse as having no income at all. Keep your head up.
