School is going well. My students are pretty cool - some of them even give me Portal-themed cards and gifts. 
I have a lot of paperwork to do this weekend (including grading a bajillion tests), but I've been staying on top of things for the most part.
I took a week off of running when I thought I was getting sick (and getting up at 5:30am seemed like a really bad idea), but I'm back on track. I faithfully completed the Couch to 5k through week 8, but then I only did one full 30-minute run before I took the week off. Thirty minutes is a long time to run before work, so I decided to stick to shorter, 20-minute runs during the week, and to focus on distance (5k) on the weekends. Today was my first attempt at 3.1 miles, and I did pretty well. I ran most of it, and completed the whole route in 33:22. Pretty good time, for me. The nice weather helped.
Today I need to get myself organized (the home office is a disaster), grade the aforementioned tests of doom, and practice some songs for my Monday night jazz gigs. Go!
