I lost my voice. Stupid plague. But, I'm getting better, so at least that's a plus. Thanks for all the well-wishes!
I had a strange dream last night:
At first it played like a movie - there was a tight shot of a full roller coaster car, getting ready to leave the loading/unloading area. Though, you start to notice people look uneasy and a bit scared. Then the shot gets wider, and you see these children climbing up the walls on either side of the car, shaking them and parts are falling off, lights flickering. A closer look reveals that the children are kind of demon-like... claws for feet, red eyes... creepy. Then the shot cuts away to another car full of people on the track, speeding (it seems faster than it should) through the loops and such, then a close up of the track where it's supposed to slow the car down to stop in the loading/unloading area. It's obvious the safety stuff has been removed, meaning the car will just smash right through, into the car waiting on the track, and kill everyone. Wondering why the ride operator didn't stop the crazy demon children and let the car go/fix the track/etc is answered when a close up of the console reveals a dead ride operator on the ground. Oops. So, suddenly I'm no longer watching, but there, next to the car. I release the harnesses, letting the people off the stationary car. They scatter, running away. One of them is LittleFierceOne, who runs over to help me try to fix the safety stuff. It becomes apparent that we've got no idea how to fix this, and so decide we'll need sombody official to do it. In the meantime, this second car is going to crash into the first, now empty one, killing all the other people. We decide the only way to prevent that is to get the empty car going so that both are on an infinite loop until somebody can come fix the safeties. So we get the other car going, and make sure everyone is okay, shouting "WE'RE GETTING HELP" to the car full of people as it passes. Those poor people looked terrified.
All I remember next is somebody with a motorized bicycle giving us both a ride to my old neighbor's house (in Fayetteville... very strange) for help. I remember after getting off the bike looking at it and trying to figure out how all three of us fit on that tiny bicycle seat. Then asking a bunch of questions about the motor - how does it work, is it economical, should I buy one. I go to my neighbor, asking to use her phone. She's moving, and doesn't have one, but offers to give us a ride to the nearest pay phone (since we won't fit on the bike this time).
We get to a diner, call the theme park people, and suddenly I'm reminded that there is a evil ex-boyfriend after me, trying to kill me. (He was behind the roller coaster stuff. Apparently one of my exes turned out to be Satan, and is now having his minions come after me and LittleFierceOne.) So we go into the diner, order some coffee and pie, and sit at a tiny table to regroup and figure out what we're doing. While there, we run into LittleFierceOne's parents, also eating pie and drinking coffee. They are completely oblivious to the now mayhem taking place outside (clearly visible throught the giant windows - people running, flaming rocks falling from the sky, etc). His mom starts asking us if we're married, yet... and that's the end.
Very strange, very movie-like, and very realistic.
I love cold-induced dreams.

morgan:
I think maybe I LIKE getting a little creeped out by scary movies. The only problem is is that later I'm actually scared, which isn't as fun as being a bit creeped out.
