Standing in my house right now in shorts and a T Shirt and it's COLD!
That's not a complaint. I have been waiting all September for this. It feels like Fall. I stepped out to check the mail today and you could feel it in the air during noontime.
Back inside, I'm not waking up in a puddle of sweat (work nights, sleep days), unable to get comfortable due to the heat and the poor AC in the room. I've even had to wear a jacket to work. Heehee!
How the fuck does a salad mix go bad in a vaccuum sealed bag? My lettuce is brown (the red cabbage could also be brown... can't tell)
Got my second stool yesterday. I had one, a bronze bar stool, had to take it back since I couldn't find a second one and it was discontinued, and got the ones they still carry. So... I got the second one today.
Stephen King's 1408 is only available at Blockbuster. Apparently BB made a deal with the Weinstein brothers and every movie they release is exclusive at BB (well, at least some... they are also only carrying The Reaping, not sure if it's the Weinsteins though). This just seems wrong to me.
My Blockbuster card is nine years old and is merely my name and a barcode that was printed on a dot matrix ( ) computer between two sheets of laminate. While looking for it today in my wallet I found a Wal-Mart ( ) gift card ( ). It was a gift for my birthday back in August. Talk about serendipity! Too bad I didn't find it before I bought my stool from Wal-Mart I forgot about it because I don't shop Wal-Mart. But looks like I'll try a shopping spree tomorrow when I have to take 1408 back.
Speaking of which, BB says it's a two day rental but what they mean is "watch it tonight and have it back tomorrow." Not only the next day is it due back but it's due back by NOON. How the fuck is that two days?! It makes it worse that the nearest store is 20 miles away.
I swear, I may just buy The Reaping. Seems simpler (and possibly less expensive).

And the potential to get into filmmaking in Jacksonville. A long shot, not much hope, but you never know... you think you'll win the Powerball and there's less chance of that.
