So ever since this Blog homework was assigned I've been trying to think what my celebrity crushes were growing up. My very first one was Vanessa Marcil. My mom is huge fan of the soap opera General Hospital and she played Brenda a model who fell in love with the gangster Sonny Corinthos. (There's a whole lot more I could tell you but I won't.) She also played Sam on Las Vegas and Nicolas Cage's fiancee in The Rock. She was married to Corey Feldman briefly. In an interview she said, "I love geeks. I've always loved geeks." We love you too, Vanessa.
Next one I remember was at 12-13 my friend dragged me to see Bring it on. Eliza Dushku appeared as the rebel cheerleader. But she didn't really steal my heart until she played Faith. My sister was home from college later that year. I'd never seen Buffy before and she was watching the third season. From her entrance I was in love. She was tough, sassy, and gorgeous. Not even her turning evil and attempting to rape Xander stopped my love for her. She's the start of a pattern in my life of going after girls who are damaged. It's a problem.
I can't really remember others. But I think both ladies, or rather the characters they played, sum up the two types of women I find most attractive. The "girl next door" and the "bad girl." Of course last I read in the Buffy comics Faith is still seeking redemption and trying to be the hero she was meant to be.
Apologies to @missy, @rambo, and @lyxzen, I know I had others I just can't remember them.
