Its hump day, its overcast. I feel like Im on cruise control today. Not good, not bad, just sort of a little bit numb. Tomorrow I find out if the polyp removed from my esophagus is cancerous or not. Or not. It better be or not!!! Doctor said he thinks it was or not when he removed it it was all pink and rosy. Just like me. I am a polyp. How Guided By Voices song is that? Last night I really spoke with my ex-girlfriend Laura for the first time since we broke up 6 months ago. I feel all sorts of things from that, it was excellent and great and sad and weird all at once. I told her I love her and want to be friends and she said she totally loves me and wants to be friends too, she was just giving me space, whatever. She jumped right up her new boyfriends ass as soon as we broke up, if you ask me. But I have to let go of that. Mixed-up confusion. Or else just not be pals with her but that would seem retarded, too. I just need to wade real slowly here make sure the wounds are healed first
Listening to this band called hula from nyc a lot today, gonna try to sign them if we have the $$. They sound like Low, Galaxie 500 and Lee Hazelwood nothing terrifically new but I dig it a lot lot lot. Also playing Queens of the Stone Age to try to get psyched and pumped-up, and stuff.
The super-cute waitress hasnt returned my phone call from yesterday thats got me in a rut more than anything. Man, she is cute, and seems smart, artistic, shes got good music taste the whole burrito arggggh. The waiting really IS the hardest part! Tom Petty was right. Whoda guessed???

Later-- Super cute waitress girl called me tonight! She can't go to the Dirty Three since she works Fri. but suggested dinner soon. I said how soon, she said Saturday! I also asked her out to see the A-Frames afterwards -- but maybe like a movie or something would be better? We'll see. BUT GODDAMN IT I AM PSYCHED AND I just get a great vibe from her so I'm happy just to make a new pal... Though DID I MENTION SHE IS A TOTAL FOX?!
Home after a groovy AA meeting and hanging with pals (phoh with the lovely and talented and smart miss piss followed by hot pinball action with some rad chiquitas who take their pinball seriousssssly, woah.)

Two night ago I was at a boring show in someone's living room -- bunch of listless nu-school emo kids. I excused myself to the kitchen for some pretzels and diet root beer and what did I see??? A magnet on the fridge advertising a show last May for Carrisa's Wierd. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Very odd and I felt two-feet small for a second. I guess one of the chicks there is in a punk band that opened for CW. No one really shared in my excitement, as I would have to explain the SG thing.
