My friend Jason, who I worked with at Amazon for 4 years (we were both music editors together) has become close pals with Neko Case recently based on the fact that he has a fanzine about ukuleles. REally. This wekeend he's going to Arizona to hang with Neko and interview her for YETI, my own 'zine which while not against ukuleles, has a slightly different scope (well, everything except ukuleles so you really only ever need to buy his 'zine and mine and you're COVERED.)

Had a pretty good date with Julie, the artist chick, tonight. Second night in a row I had phoh! Last night I met the wonderful Miss Piss, the first local SG I've met! Didn't get to hang much but I could tell she is really smart and cool and stuff.

Oh goodness my brain has drained from my head!!!

Had a very stressful day playing phone tag with a doctor of mine about some test results -- I will know more tomorrow... Sorry to be so dramatic about it, but well it kinda is dramatic (though I'm sure everythign is gonna be cool!)

This weekend there will be several b-day celebrations and lots of rock Fri/ Sat Sunday, four shows -- Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Thermals, Decemberists, Sam from Iron and Wine, James from the Shins, Kinski, Jolie Fucking Holland!!!, Constantines, Rosie Thomas, wow...
