Tonight I'm supposed to go see a cool avant-y bill with Chromatics/ Climax Golden Twins/ Wolf Eyes --but I know it's gonna go real late and be smoky and also be fucking loud, and really none of that appeals today especially since I had to be at work an hour earlier than usual this morn. Can't wait for Decemberists/ Iron and Wine tomorrow night though, hoo fucking ray.

I'm finally working on my interview with the fabulous gtrist/ composer/ all-around nice guy Elliott Sharp -- And I really like this that he said today:

"Of course this war jive has me furious - since the coup d'etat that passed for the 2000 election, I've been raging and raving about the state of things - writing music is good therapy - also lots of web research, talking, and correspondence as well. It's just amazing that Bush & co are able to do what they do so blatantly - they've had this agenda in the works for years and most americans are too ignorant and complacent to comprehend it - the activists have a huge task ahead. we all can just do what we can, build networks of resistance in various ways - music is certainly one of them."

Alright! I think I'll watch something really dumb and mindless on telly (that's NOT the war.)
