Hey ! Life is good in Austin -- the label showcase went really fucking great -- I am very happy and exceptionally tired right now.
The club was really cool, sound pretty good, people who worked there were really rad, we bought dinner for the woman running the stage as she made things go smoothly even though the day show went perilously later than it was s'posed to (and Pretty Girls Make Graves apparently almost got into a fistfight with 'em.)
Carissa's Wierd played an awesome show and won folks over -- esp. during their new song "Die" and their Avril Lavigne cover (which Ben from Death Cab sang along to again.)
Sin Ropas were not as good because their guitarist/ singer was back home, but still really cool and I'm sooooo psyched to be releasing their record in May. Seem slike they def. have fans, with the whole crew of folks into Califone.
Finally met Itsalive, very rad guy, hope to actually hang with him when I'm not like doing a million things at the same time. Saw him in action with the ladies too -- impressive.
I bought some records today and just was more chill in general, tomorrow should be super low-key too. It was more of a fun and low-key schmooze which is really the best kind.
Tomorrow I am most psyched about seeing Califone back up Neko Case and Brokeback at the Schuba's party! Also Stars as Eyes and Iron and Wine and hopefully Black Lipstick again.

I saw Stars as Eyes last November with Cex. They were *so* unassuming. Really nice guys to boot. The tall one tried to rock out for a moment and it made the power supply click off. they just giggled and shrugged it off.
Yay. Have fun. So find George Zahora from Splendidezine and take his pic. Yes, I've never met my editor despite having worked for him for nine months.
