OK I knew it was gonna happen -- I AM IN A BAD MOOD now, and I feel like crap for lack of sleep sooooo I REALLY hope I feel better soon or else I will have to miss the fucking ROOTS/ CODY CHESNUTT show tonight! I hope I can get my shit together. It was a big favor to get listed for that thing... What to do?
Maybe I'll talk to a friend on the phone, eat some Nutella, listen to the new Cat Power album (sooo good) to wallow in it a while, then maybe the new advances I got for albums by Nobukazu Takemura (Japanese minimalist head-swirl electronica) and the Swirlies (from Boston I think -- mostly early to mid 90s My Bloody Valentine ripoff band who sort of made 'Kid A' with toy instruments in the garage 5 years before Radiohead but aren't known for shite nowadays).
Shit, some or alla that better work, huh? Wish me luck.

Planned on seeing Suicide tonight but took a long nap that made me wanna stay in.....it's like, REALLY cold and I spent the day in Baltimore. Beat.
Tomorrow...Rocket from the Tombs when I am in LA.
I love Nobukazu. Actually, for that genre, I have to admit, I'm pretty easy to please. It's all so sweet and unobtrusive.
Although Nurse With Wound is my all time favorite band (guy, whatever) Loveless by MBV is my favorite record ever recorded. I saw them at the Palace in Hollywood on the last night of the tour. Just before the show, I met them at an in store and loaded up on autographs, then hustled to the Palace for the best show I had ever seen. Yo La Tengo opened up, which was icing. MBV did their one chord "You Made My Realize" break for 35 minutes that night. At the end, I turned around and a full half the audience had left. Ha!! The security guards looked like they wanted to, literally, jump on stage and kill the band with their bare hands. It's funny how much rage you can kick up in people with a little noise.
