Well, Thursday was crazy at work, so I didn't want to squeeze in a date invite. Friday was better, but as fate would have it a friend I rarely see came to visit me at work, and monopolized my time all afternoon, ruining any opportunity there. So was all lost? Well, not exactly.
Although it was less than ideal, I "met" up with her in Wolrd of Warcraft (the topic that initiated our friendship hehe). We chatted a bit, she asked if I attended the company Xmas party. I didn't and said that while I liked the people I worked with, by and large I can't imagine hanging out with them outside of work. She laughed and agreed. I then followed up that "speaking of hanging out, I still want to reschedule us going out." She replied "anytime, just let me know." We chatted a bit more and before I left I asked if tomorrow (Sat) was good for her. She said she didn't know, one of her friends was leaving and she might hang out with her. Instead she asked for my number, and said she'd try to call me.
Bleh. Not exactly encouraging. Also, while I was on she invited me to join Team Speak with her and her friends, who as it turns out are all guys she knows. It wasn't a total blow off though, we did message each other privately while on Team Speak, talking a little bit about family and game talk.
It might be my fears creeping up, but I'm beginning to suspect a certain "sausage queen" vibe here (a gal with lots of close guy friends). While I started out feeling confident with her, I admit I'm less sure now, and I know loss of confidence is like blood in the water with women...
The thing is, the more info I find out about her, the more appealing she is to me. She plays games, isn't afraid to be dorky, she's good looking, a fellow artist, gets excited about the same things as me, anime, similar tastes in music, and loves the same movies as me. Also found out today she plays the guitar and plays metal music (god, I have a thing for women musicians, especially when they play something hard).
Ah well though, I refuse to think too much about it. If she calls, great, if not that's fine too. BTW, how did it go from me asking her out, to me now waiting for her call? I know somewhere I must have made a date mistake when she turned the tables. I knew when she asked for MY number that it was a bad move, but I couldn't think of a legit way of turning it around so I had HER number haha.
