You Bastards! 
Nah, I'm only ripping on October and Wookey for outrageous bailing on me last night, you missed a good one guys. You can make it up to me in two weeks when I do my LAST EVER Open Mic at St Matts. It looks like it's going to be a good one too as I've got the emails of a few of my favourite acts over the past few gigs and they should be able to do it. The 3rd of May folks, if you're in Bristol it's the only night worth going to (coz it's free and it's with me!).
So yeah, last night was wicked. We had two stand ups, one died a horrible death but the other went really really well. It's always tough though as most of the night is boys playing guitar so it takes the audience time to adjust to anything different.We had some amazing guitarists though and I don't care if we mainly appear to be an acoustic night when we have talent like we did last night. This one guy did a song about Benzine which was well funny and another did a few Bill Bailey tunes. The night finished with my mates Adam and Chris doing an acoustic version of Hit Me Baby One More Time. They learnt it in about twenty minutes but managed to get the whole bar singing along. Legends, everyone of them. What I was most happy about though was this girl Sam, who has an incredible voice, came down to do a song and I managed to snag her email address so I could send her the song I wrote (regular readers will remember I wrote three songs while avoiding my dissertation, looks like they might actually get sung!). I got a few more emails of people I thought were good so I can remind them about the next one and hopefully they'll come back.
Anyway, I've gotta dash. Supposed to be playing a zombie in my mates film in 45 minutes and I just got home half an hour ago! Catch you guys later!
Oh wait, just thought I'd mention I'm going to see the Kaiser Chiefs tonight, so if anyone else is going I'm the small child with messy hair and a red T-shirt. Please sign up to whatever I've been forced to promote!
