Whoops! Seem to have invited Satan into my life
The thing is, when I split from my last girlfriend I genuinely did not want to go out with anyone for a long time. However, through a mate of mine I met a really cool girl called Cress. She blew me away simply because I take the piss quite a lot and for the first time ever I met a girl who would give as good as she gets. I saw her as a strong independant character like myself and even though some people thought it was too soon (only a month since my last girlfriend) I thought it was worth the risk because she seemed so unique.
Like I said at the beginning of my post, whoops.
As you can now guess, this was not the actual case. In fact now it seems we're wrong for each other in every single way. She is quite dependant, needs to be made a fuss of and her comebacks are not part of a witty repartee but an indicator to her fiery temper. I'm a very laidback person but having to deal with her strops on a daily basis, her jealousy of my female friends (my god, if she knew of this site!) and her strong left wing holier than thou attitude she has without being really interested in todays current events. She almost seems a parody of herself. I'm not particularly politcally active but I know what the fuck is going on. She storms round being outraged, buying loads of environmental bullshit washing powder tat just seems an excuse to be more expensive. When I told her all the major brands now stick to a code that they obtain a certain level of biogradeableness (please be a word!) she look at me like I was from out of space! The girl's heart seems to be in the right place but she seems to be doing it almost for show "I'm a lefty, crush the state" which is fine put if you are going to be political at least have the decency to learn the policies of that you are opposing. Saying that you are against the conservatives just because they are right wing is ignorant, foolish and makes you look like a twat. I don't mind anyone's political views as long as they have a well founded argument.
That was a bit of a rant and I'm sorry, but you can't argue with this girl. She's right, you oppose her so you are wrong and she won't even let you have an adult conversation about it. Her best comebacks are "stop being childish" (I'm not the one having the tantrum) and "don't yell at me" (she does this while screaming and I'm trying to calm her down with a firm voice). Ultimately she makes me angry and I don't like being angry, I don't find it constructive.
Also, she's not into film. Has never watched Star Wars, can't name a single director and doesn't like horror. She didn't even like Shaun of the Dead! She'll hate The Evil Dead! And I can't even get her to sit through a Kevin Smith film!
Basically the bitch has to die, I'm sorry, the bitch has to go. Now obviously if I try and do a normal break up she'll rip out my lungs and beat me to death with them. Any ideas on how to leave her with my life intact?

Easiest, and perhaps most cowardly, way is to simply phase her out. Stop returning calls, don't go see her, avoid the common places you usually run into each other. No confrontation.
I personally prefer a good discussion with a breakup, whether or not it leads to being beaten to death with my own lungs. But that's me.
