Halfway through Freshers week and boy am I knackered.
It's been great though as I've been meeting up with all my old mates and getting loads of freebies and drinks promotions. I got a free Hawaiin shirt on Monday when a dance off competition occured with some drunk mates of mine. It was a laugh until the fresher's started clapping to the beat, then it got embarrassing and I felt like I was in a cheesy American teen movie.
Yesterday was also funny as I had to be down at the union for 9:15am to help set up the drama society stall for the freshers fair on my campus. I was not overly enthusiastic I must admit, especially when I went down in my Seventies suit to find out that they had cancelled the idea of us all going in costume. I had to spend half the day explaining we weren't the pimp society. It was a good day though and I got 11 fully signed members. Friday is the big one though as we are off to Frenchay which is the biggest Freshers fair in Britain. The others said that we are definitely doing costume but fuck 'em, I know they're chickens.
On a plus note, yesterday I met Dan, the DJ from the Propaganda nights where I drunkenly go every week. He gave me some fliers to which I laughed and showed my heavily worn membership card and my Propaganda badge (directly below my Suicidegirls one people!), he was well chuffed and promised that he'd give anyone in the society drink discounts when the come to the club night. Loyalty does have it's own rewards, it's great!
Oh, and my house has now got it's full quota of tenants, which is really cool because we now have the supreme digital package as well as broadband in every room and free phone. The outside world is but a distant memory.
Speak to you later guys!
