Last night was brilliant!!!
I went to a short film festival last night at mansion on the edge of Bristol with the vain hope of meeting film makers. Unfortunately it was full of students and wannabes (can't complain, I was there ) but I still had a great time. The films were really good and there were some amazing performing artists roaming the grounds. Some were annoying, but some were really cool - as is generally the case when it comes to performing artists.
Also bumped into some people I knew, which was nice One of the girls in the flat above me was there with friends, so I had some people to walk back home with. Plus they had a hash pipe, whch made the avent garde films a lot more tolerable
I also saw a guy from school that I haven't seen in about seven years, and indirectly he is responsible for my entire screenwriting career. He gave me the idea for my first play, and it was seeing that play performed that made me realise I wanted to write scripts for the rest of my life. His name is Daniel Moore and it was great to thank him in person at last. I'd also give some credit to my former English teacher Mr Dennis Arthurs for laughing so loud at the first performance it broke the ice and let others join in. It was hearing people laugh at jokes I'd written and seeing things performed in the way I had envisioned that made me realise that this was my calling. Hell, there's lots of people who helped, but those two deserve a special mention for being directly responsible for two significant points in my development.
Dan and Den I thank you
I'm feeling really good this morning. I've only had four hours sleep, but you know what? I'm gonna write, because that's what I fucking do. Hope you all have a great weekend, and remember inspiration comes in the smallest of things so take a moment to look around and smile at what you see. There's some great stuff around you that you don't even notice.
Have a good weekend guys.

PS. One last note on the subject of bad relationships, my friend Becky has a good manta. The three main things that are attractive in forming a relationship are intelligence, sanity, beauty. You'll only ever get two out of three at anyone time, choose wisely.

Ahhh you are so lucky, I LOVE Bristol, and you should definately, DEFINATELY go and see Miss Saigon before it finishes. It's SO CLOSE!
I'm pretty much at ease with the new SG right now, we seem to be getting along. I guess I'm just like everyone else, and I resist change!
I'm thinking at the moment that I may go for the Mac that you can run both Windows and Mac off. Best of both worlds?
How's tricks?
