so today was an exciting day at the credit union...
well to start the day off... the cops showed up.
i don't think i'll ever forget that image. it was liike 5 cops all walking one after another and they kind of make like a semicircle formation in case someone runs away they'd be able to catch'em. the craziest part about it, was that it was all just a misunderstanding..
i didn't know what happened at first, i came out of the break room and sat at my desk where i noticed that my phone said "system alarm ext 1708" which is my manager, evelyn's, extention. so i look back at her and she waves for me to come to her office. i get there and i see denice there too, then evelyn asks me what the girl standing at denice's window is wearing. i thought that was weird, but went to look and report back to them and denice gave the discription to whomever was on the phone(later found out that was the cops). i got back to my desk and pretend every thing was okay.. then i see the cops come in and my eyes kind of widen in shock, like i kinda knew they were coming yet i was still surprized by it. the police questioned the lady and denice, then they take the woman outside to finish talking to her.. i didn't find out what happened until after they all left. the woman has been unknowingly cashing checks from a closed account, that info was in the memeber's diary memo's and it also said to just call 911.. so that's what denice and evelyn did.
apparently the woman talked to the collection's manager and told them that she didn't know the checks were bad, she wasn't comming fraud it was just a mistake and she'll make right on the checks when she get's money. collection's manager put that in collections memo's. which is on a whole other screen than the diary memo's and the teller's don't look at that unless it says to look at collections in the diary memo's. (if you don't get that it's okay, you really need to be involved with the system to understand it). when collection's manager put the note in collection memo's, she never deleted the diary memo that stated to call 911.
nobody got arrested, cause it was all just a missunderstanding. now the lady is kind of pissed and doesn't even want to come back to talk to collections. and when the cops were there everyone coming up to the teller line was asking if we got robbed and wondering if they should even be there. that part was kind of amusing.. like the credit union would even be open still if we got robbed.
also today, i went on the teller line. which was fucking scary!!! people get really touchy about their money, especially when you don't know what your doing exactly. i hate that i kept giving the excuse that it was my first day on the teller line and i kind of suck at it, but it's how it went down. i hate being a teller! i couldn't stand doing that all the time. i only did it today cause we only had 2 teller working, the other 2 teller have school on tuesdays and thursdays. since i only have night classes, i have to step up and help out the tellers. i'm not being a full time teller, i'm still just a receptionist, just doing teller work until may and only when those kids have thier classes.
so i went from having no job expeiriance what so ever, to having everything that i pretty much need to get along in the working world today.. and i've only been working there for a little over a month now. it's kind of awesome.
today was also my first day of my construction class... it was the easiest first day ever! i pretty much did all the hand stiching samples last semster and she didn't have the new samples for me to do tonight. i worked on one worksheet and did it in like 5 min, so i ended up help the other people in class who didn't know what they were doing. you'd be surprized how many people in fashion design don't know how to read a measuring tape. since i already know my measurement and have already bought my pattern and fabric i didn't need to stay there for that information, so i got to leave early!!! it was nice.
this was the only night class that i wasn't able to get anyone on the phone to walk me to my car... and it was the scariest walk ever!! i think just school campus at night is really creepy. too many walls and trees that block my view around cornes and stuff like that.. and while i was walk i just thought of every slasher movie that has some girl walking alone late at night on campus that gets completely mutilated and stabbed to death.
so people when i call on a monday or thursday night, answer the phone!!!! being alone is scurry.
well, i think that's about it. i think that was the longest blog i ever made, without being totally emo or having some random quiz posted.
go me for having a life!

i now hate this woman, she will rue the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so if you're "just" a receptionist, but a teller twice a week, do you get paid like a teller on those two days?? if not, thats one more against evelyn
