It is with a tiny whisper not a clash of arms
Nor screams nor cries nor trumpets
That all things end in forgotten silence
Unremarked, unremembered, and unrequited

Silently tumbling . . . tumbling away
It is in this silent ballet of loss and mourn
That truth is told and hearts birthed anew
Where crushed and broken things
Once more are made whole again
For pain and loss, sisters in blood and deed
Tear away the facades we covet most
And leave us naked to our own truth
No hiding, no lies, only what we cannot deny
In pain is tomorrow born again and again
The rebirth marked by none but time
For it, like the silent endings and loss,
