So my dad got laid off a few days ago. Everybody else in my family is convinced that everything is going to be fine, and that things will work themselves out, but it doesn't take a genius to know that the economy is in the shitter right now. He's gotten laid off before and that was right before the ".com" crash, and he was able to find another job then, and it paid twice as much. He also knows somebody who works for a company that is hiring four people, so hopefully that will work out. I'm trying to stay positive, but at the same time, I don't want to be so positive that I waste money just in case things don't work out as well as everyone's hoping.
In the meantime, I'm working on a few plays, and of course my music. I'm thinking about taking up busking, and maybe one day traveling by stowing away on boxcars, going city to city for a while. It'll probably have to wait until I'm old enough to play on bars. I'm still pretty young, but it would be a great experience.
