This is something I have noticed over the past few years as musical interests have come and gone with society. Why is is that ticket prices go up consistently for shows that are 1 good band with 2 or 3 bad bands. For instance, Thrice is come to Richmond and its running 65$ for 2 tickets. I saw them 2 years ago when they were already big for 15$ a ticket and 3 years prior I saw them on a second hand stage at a convention for 5 bucks. I mean seriously its beginning to be ridiculous. I love(d) going to shows until I became older and the crowd got younger. Then I became "that guy" by the bar due to most of the shows being all ages. On top of that seeing groups of people who are at the show to be at any show bothers me. If you aren't there to enjoy the music but instead just make fun of it then what is the point in wasting your money?
One day ticket prices will go back to where they should be...cheap. Until then I'll be content with my Zune and all the tunes on it.

I totally agree with you. I used to see Thrice for very cheap back in the day. I feel like that person now too, kinda old, and a little confused.. I think tonight is local exposure at Canal tho? Free, and local, can't beat that
