Down another 4 lbs on my weigh-in yesterday. Started at roughly 319, I'm down to 305 since Memorial Day. I've had 1 soda in the last three weeks and absolutely no soda in over 2 weeks. I don't miss it. Diet could be better, but my eating out is way, way down and my eating better is way, way up. It's hard changing habits you've had for the last 20+ years.
I've been progressing well in the Couch to 5k program. Started Week 5 yesterday. Pretty much did the three 5 minute runs at a 5.5 mph pace. The last 5 minute run, I did about 1:30-2:00 minutes at 5.2 mph. Everytime I run, my Nike+ says I ran faster than the last time. I'm starting to see progress in how my clothes fit and my performance in hockey. I'm still slow, but I'm not dying after a shift on the rink.
Speaking of hockey... these bad boys came today.
I'm excited to try them out. Probably won't be able to debut them until Sunday though. I just don't have time between now and Thursday to get them baked and sharpened.
Labor Day weekend in Chicago has been "booked". I actually didn't book anything, just told some friends that I'm coming out. But either way, it's going to be an epic weekend. Can't wait.
