Hope everyone is awesome in SG land.
I had my weigh in yesterday. 1 week since I decided it was time to take eating and exercise a little more seriously in my life. Dropped 9 lbs. I know it's probably just "water weight", but still... 9 lbs is 9 lbs. I even managed to have a couple nights where I just let loose and didn't worry about things. I still tracked the beer and did the best I could guestimating things in MyFitnessPal.
This week I'm even more determined to eat right and exercise. I've decided that Couch to 5k is the running program for me. And on Tuesdays, a trainer at the gym I attend offers a free 1 hour MMA conditioning course. I have no delusions of grandeur, so don't expect to see me on the UFC on an upcoming Saturday night, but the workout is challenging and fun. It also helps when you're friends with said trainer, so when you spare and throw an extra body shot in your 1-2 jab combo, he'll take it in stride then come back at you.
I finished Week 3 Day 1 of C25k yesterday and I did Day 2 tonight, since there was no class. Looking forward to doing Day 3 tomorrow and a bonus Week 3 run on Friday. Saturday, I'm going to try to sprint on a bike as long as I can, then peddle until I recover, repeat. Figure that could definitely help my hockey game a bit.
