Well, as the saying goes, "Everything ends, but there are always new beginnings."
And such is my Monday. My ice hockey playoffs ended last night with a 3-1 loss overshadowed by some referees that did not want to be left out of the action.
Today, the girl I've been seeing since last November waived, "Adios." While I'm not upset, mostly because I had prepped myself last week for this, though I thought I managed to save it, I am disappointed. I understand that she has some issues that she needs to work on from her troubled past, which she is getting help for, so I went in knowing this was a possible out come: "I'm not ready."
She really is a great girl and I wish her nothing but the best. I'm positive at the very worst, we'll remain good friends. I thoroughly enjoyed the last few months and don't regret anything but the simple fact that it's over.
For me, that means, back on the market. Not having to worry about behaving when I go to Spring Awakening in Chicago in June. Or picking up that Rock on the Range ticket since I'll be flying solo.

I had been single for a while before she came along, so I was kind of looking forward to a "companion". Oh well, nothing I can do about it now, just have to make the best of things.
