[Blows dust off of blog] OK. Well, this is just a little test. It's been a long, long time. Not that I don't visit SG, I do that all the time. And I've gotten into the habit of checking my feed more regularly, too. I'm just not much of a poster-- not here, not on FB. I'll respond like hell, but don't post much about myself. I'm not sure why.
Part of it could be that I'm an introvert, and so a lot of my adventures are in my mind-- the books I read, the walks I take, and so on. Also, I spend a lot of time alone. LIke today... Today I stayed in bed much of the day, while the wind roared outside. I got up twice to make meals-- an awesome breakfast, then later I started a crock pot of chili; I also made a trip to run errands: joining a new gym; grocery shopping; and getting an Ike's sandwich, to eat while I watched the Warriors-Knicks game.
In the evening, I went to a David Cross show. He was extremely profane and caustic and likable.
Then back here, to read Hunter S. Thompson's Hell's Angels, and test the chili out (new recipe; I'm trying out a bunch of crockpot meals). So, you see, nice and quiet, with an emphasis on nice. And that's my life.
I have been more social lately, and have committed to being so; and I'd love to find someone to share my time and life with; but this life is good, too, and I appreciate most every day. (Some days, not so much, esp during the winter... But then, we all have times like that...)
Anyhow, I make no promises to be the Mad Blogger or anything, but I won't let an entire year go by without writing, that's for sure. The fact that a couple people recently heart-ed my blog, and it was written over a year ago about a movie I liked, kind of embarrassed me into action.
Well, I hope that any of you who are reading this, whomever you may be (no one?)-- I hope life is going well for you. Feel free to shoot questions or comments if you're bored or just feel like it. Bless you SG people, I wish I could see more of you in person.
