The Life Aquatic... I love this film. And the more that I watch it, the more I love it. Willem Defoe should have his own spin-off film, he makes me almost cry with laughter.

Plus the whole tone of the movie... this kind of existential dread mixed with a cheerful child-like joy in existence itself. And the clothes. And the animated fish! I love this...

I thought The Darjeeling Limited was great. Then again, I also thought The Life Aquatic was Wes Anderson's least appealing offering. Though, maybe Bottle Rocket is a notch lower. Note, I have not seen Fantastic Mr. Fox yet.

For fish and Defoe, I recommend "Fishing with John" episode 4.

The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus is interesting, and good, and really arresting, visually. I like Terry Gilliam a whole, whole lot. And people who don't are misguided.

Also, his production company is called "Poo Poo Productions." The man is worthy of our love.
