Today I'm heading out to Oakland for the 2004 Stitches convention... There's supposed to be a big marketplace where you can get all types of knitting-related swag. Its at the Oakland Merriot City Center. I've never been but supposedly you can get off at the 12th St/City Center BART station and it's right across the street.

How was everyone's V-day? I was in Lake Tahoe...

The 2.8 Clothing Swap has been cancelled due to lack opf participation, although I am going to post pictures of the stuff I was going to try and trade as soon as I can. I want rid of this stuff...

On another note, I hung out in Chinatown all day and went to the SF Chinatown New Years Parade at night. It was pretty decent....

Ugg... the weather is sucks. Not so mucn the grey-ness as it is freezing cold, which inevitably means that I'm staying inside watching the old boob tube... Unfortunately for me it's more "tube" than "boob".

There's this show called "Boiling Points" on MTV, which puts people in annoying situations and if they are "patient" for a set time limit they are "rewarded" with $100.

The...

I feel like Al Pacino in Godfather III. Seriously, everytime I'm getting out, they pull me back in.....

That way when you come and visit SGLA, we'll have bigger parties!!! Woohoo!!!

Hey all... I was really looking forward to going out tonight (1984), but a sore throat hit me like a ton of bricks. It took effort to breathe during the night. Damn cold weather! mad
antiprincess:
Well, at least I don't have to feel bad about not going now. Feel better!

corsetqueen:

I just want to say thanks to the few people that comment on my page... It's actually pretty funny that it's only people I've met in person that write to me. Somehow I have this preconceived notion that it would be the other way around. (Un)Lucky for me, my shyness seems to translate through the computer as well.

How did you guys meet most of...

Let's see how I'm feeling tomorrow after work. How 'bout I give you a good solid "maybe" for now? biggrin Call me tomorrow, mid-day, and we'll figure it out.
corsetqueen:
most of the people posting in my journal are people i met in real life, too. a couple aren't and i'm not sure where they came from, but they're coooool so i don't care.

i had an account on diaryland a long time ago and exchanged a lot of meaningful emails with people i'd "met" on there and then i got a livejournal account, which didn't produce as many acquaintences as diaryland had, but i actually met people in real life from livejournal and made a couple really, really good friends, so that was cool.

i don't remember you as shy, though. odd. kiss

It's been a rough three days. First, my friend - AntiPrincess - gives me the gift of a membership, so of course, I'm at the computer every free chance. Then I find myself at opening night of the Burlesque Show. My, my, my... What these girls can do for a can of Bud and chocolate syrup. eeek

I must apologize in advance for my dial-up service, which will no doubt hinder my ability to navigate this site as fast as I want to. But never fear, a photo will be up soon and more participation is to come.
