So I'm back in SF and basically, for all those who have been following the plight that is gaining admission to a top tier grad school in psych I have 5 little words for you...
I'm.....in....there.....like.....swimwear!
Yep, it's officially as it can be, without my signature on the financial aid piece of paper yet, that I'm going to be relocating to Madsion for the next couple of years.
About my trip, I was very much playing the courtship game with all the faculty and grad students. Luckily for me, everyone was genuinely nice (does "Minnesota nice" really exist?) and the sun even made a cameo. I didn't have much time to myself, but I did attend a birthday party that started at Amy's then some Japanese restaurant on State st (not Wasabi) then the Tornado Bar (and restaurant?). I did try and go to Espresso Royale, but there's two on State st and apparently I went to the wrong one because there was no hot hot Orali there... I'm am truly kicking myself for not tuning in to take42's radio show and meeting up with any SGs or members. D'oh!
Either way, I'm excited to see Madison in the summer and meeting those of yous who call Madison and Milwaukee home.

Unfortunately, Thailand and I have had a love-hate relationship due to issues that I could elaborate if requested
actually i would be very interested to know, if you felt like talking about it.
although I would probably be embarrassed for my Americanized Thai accent.
really? but do you speak thai very well?
It's been far to long. How did you not get eaten by the mosquitos?
well.. the answer to that is.. i did! haha. just my legs. because it was too hot to wear pants.
that papaya salad is called Som Thumb...
i would like to try making it but i bet the papayas i'd get here just wouldn't be the same... doesn't it use unripe ones?
like with mangoes... mangoes here are sucky. they never taste like they should.
Did ya get a Molly Ringwold at the Tornado? Something about that place that I really like . . . . Its sort of part hipster joint, part family restaurant. A good combination?
The papaya salad at the thai joint I call home makes a mean papaya salad. And I swear its the hottest thing on the menu!! One doesn't expect that when getting a salad, let alone a papaya salad . . . .
