the first book certainly isn't my favorite and was the slowest one for me to go through, but by the second and third ones they really start to get good. Charliene Harris isn't the greatest writer but she does tell a good story.

I definitely have to disagree I think the third season is easily the best, the fourth was my favorite though because Sookie and Eric finally get together and even though the producers and writers of the show want it to be all about Bill, in the books it is ALL about Eric and Sookie. So I feel like its just how things should be
