she waits( a poem about overcoming depression)


sitting all alone
on her porch day by day
passing the time as it goes by
having everything to say

she waits she waits
for the moment she can speak out
so much is going through her head
so much she could do without

Cause shes got so much chained inside
when will she let go?
cause shes got nothing to hide
so when will her shame go away?

I want nothing less
than to take her tears away
I want nothing less
then to never make her wait

though confession would help her
she just sits and stares
she cant find someone she trusts
much less anyone who cares

she waits she waits
and sits there mad at her life
she has no one to comfort her
so she finds comfort with a knife

shes got so much chained inside
when will she let go?
shes got nothing to hide
when will her shame go away?

one day she finds a friend
who proves to gain her trust
he asks her about her life
her shame,guilt and lust

tears fall from her eyes
as she tells her life
her hands are shaking
as she shows him the knife

he tells her she is special
and that she is openly loved
and tells her of a creator
and his heavenly love

she cant believe she could be loved
with all her dirty shame
with her heart open
she calls on his name

a knife on the ground
a hug from a friend
she finds meaning
where her new life will begin
